What can I as an individual, or WWOOF as an organisation, do about hosts that describe themselves as "organic" but still use herbicides and commercial fertilisers?

 This is a very serious situation.
WWOOF Portugal have a very strict complaint procedure and I need your feedback to solve this situation.

also, in this regards, hosts that are not even attempting to be a farm, or do anything biological! we get so frustrated at places that just want us to make best for their guesthouse, then feed us worse than we would feed ourselves at home!

Hi Jesse,
I am working on a Complaint Procedure to allow a fair way to deal with the complaints. I hope I can post it on our WebSite on March.
The main problem of the Complaints is: Is that a real problem or it is a personal clash?
I take all the comnplaints seriouslly and I guess this Complaint Procedure will help to clean some bad seeds.

hey rodrigo,
this sounds like a really good thing. i will look forward to it. contrary to it being a personality clash at some placs that we have visited -- i hesitate to report a couple of the places because we really like the people a lot, yet the use of wwoofing is inappropriate for them. also some of these places, the other volunteers really like the people or the tasks, despite that there is nothing even remotely agricultural going on, and my personal wish would be that rather than booting the mis-users off the wwoof site that there would be more scrutiny as to how they describe themselves so that those of us who do care about organic lifestles dont waste time and money to get to them.
