Hi
I am looking to do some wwofing in sweden, just wandering if anyone knows any cheap ways to get about in Sweden to hosts from airports.
Hi.
Whereto in Sweden do you plan to go? Because the distances can be a bit longer than here in Portugal as you might know. Depending on the region the prices can differ a lot for commuting.
If you are a student you generally have great discounts on trains and buses (a student card from a Portuguese university for instance generally gives you the right to this). Hitch-hiking is not something very common in Sweden. Most people won't stop to pick someone up. In some cases maybe you can arrange a ride if people are going somewhere. I would for instance check on the forum http://alternativ.nu where you can find people who are into self-sufficient living and generally are open to bring someone if you need to go the same direction as they are a particular day. (The forum is in Swedish though so if hard to understand, ask me and I can tell you where to post an add.)
Quinta da Mandragora - Living history and low-impact life.
At our place you can learn historical handicraft, bio-agriculture, older preservation techniques etc while Wwoofing!
